TEAM

CODY BOYLES
Cody Boyles is a strategic public affairs professional with more than a decade of experience in California government, legislative advocacy, and political strategy. He began his career in the California State Legislature, where he served as Communications Director for Assemblymember Cheryl Brown, Chair of the Assembly Aging and Long-Term Care Committee. In this role, Cody supported legislative leadership focused on strengthening California’s safety net and retirement systems in preparation for the state’s rapidly aging population.

Cody joined Kahan, Soares & Conway LLP (KSC) in 2016 as a legislative advocate. KSC is widely recognized as California’s leading agricultural lobbying firm, representing family farms and grocers, dairies, processors, shippers, and water districts integral to the state’s Farm-to-Fork economy. At KSC, Cody delivered political and strategic analysis for clients and advanced advocacy efforts across a diverse range of policy areas, including cap-and-trade and air quality regulation, fair funding initiatives, cable and broadband policy, and horseracing regulation.

In addition to his legislative advocacy work, Cody has supported multiple statewide and legislative election campaigns, developing expertise in political strategy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs communications.

A Sacramento native raised in a union household, Cody has maintained an active role in civic and political engagement. He previously served as Treasurer of the Sacramento County Clinton Democratic Club, an organization supporting Democratic candidates committed to economic development and infrastructure investment.

Throughout his career, Cody has worked closely with senior policymakers and influential political leaders across California, providing clients with informed, pragmatic guidance for navigating the state’s complex regulatory and political environment.

Cody holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he was a sports writer for Mustang Daily.
